Davies: Notts oozing confidence ahead of Cherries test
And the midfielder insists the Magpies are in no mood to surrender their impressive winning run at Dean Court.
Notts have won their last four games in League Two, against Burton Albion, Dagenham, Barnet and Grimsby – scoring ten goals and keeping three clean-sheets.
They will move just four points behind The Cherries if they beat them – and will still have four games in-hand.
Leading scorer Lee Hughes hit his 22nd goal of the season in the 1-0 win at Grimsby on Saturday.
Davies said: "The win at Grimsby was great but it's gone now and we have to focus on beating Bournemouth.
"It will be another tough game, especially at their place.
"We're playing a side above us so if we get a win it counts for double.
"If we can claw three points back on them and still have our games in hand, we'll be in a very strong position.
"We've got a lot of games in hand on all of our big promotion rivals and we have to play all of them, so it's all in our own hands."
The Magpies beat Bournemouth 2-1 in the second round of the FA Cup in November, with Hughes and Craig Westcarr scoring.
Davies believes that will give them a psychological edge in their first league meeting of the season.
"Having won there already will give us a lot of confidence," added Davies.
"They seem really up and down with their form. They either get a really good result or a really poor one.
"We'll go there full of belief the way we're playing. We're on an amazing run so we want to keep that going. We don't want to throw it away there."
